On
our way to Morocco we had a super long layover in Portugal where we
decided to pull an all-day/nighter and see the city. Lisbon is a
beautiful city with picturesque old buildings, and a clean, efficient
public transportation system. It's location by the water was perfect, and who doesn't love taking ferrys? The ferrys are
integrated into the public transportation system and provide access
the the several small public islands. Portugal is definitely an
underrated vacation spot. The highlight of my time in Lisbon was
eating diner at a small restaurant near the castle. The food was
delicious and the sangria was by far the best I have had in my entire
life (sorry Moody's). It was a great beginning to the trip, and the
introduction of our anthem “the three best friends that anyone
could have” (from the movie The Hangover).
